I'll be in Yokosuka in early November for a visit. I'll be moving there next year. Does anyone have a safe route from Yoko to Tokyo and back for a group of 3-4 riders.

    Bike Route

Route 16 then 15 to Shinagawa; I`ve done this route. Where in Tokyo do you wish to go?

We will be staying in a hotel near the Hiroo station.

You can cross over to Route 1 from either route 16 or 15. Route 1 passes a little closer to Hiroo and the New Sanno.

    Phil,

How far in distance would a round-trip from Yokosuka to Tokyo entail?

Distance isn't so much the issue, but traffic and traffic lights. You should be able to go from Yokosuka to Tokyo in under three hours; it took me 1.5 hours to travel from my house in Yokohama to Shinagawa.

Yoko-Tokyo distance is perhaps 60kms at most.

Thanks for the info. We are going to use that route. We are trying to find a good road map online. Found a pretty good site, wikamapia?
    Thanks.

    Maps

When you get here, go to a Japanese bookstore and get a Max Mapple; that`s what I use and it hasn`t let me down yet.
